Lynx Technologies has developed a sophisticated Market Opportunity Evaluation system to aide in the power purchasing process. This system evaluates historical pricing trends by zone, day of week, and hour to determine the best purchasing strategy as it pertains to Day Ahead and Real Time markets. We have 5 proprietary economic models that we customize by Zone and Season to produce the best risk/reward relationship. Since Day Ahead Market is the baseline by which we evaluate savings, it is our policy to limit our Real Time purchases to a maximum of 35% of the hourly load during the “Opportunity Hours”. However, the final decision rests with the customer.
